United offers non-stop flights to Dulles Airport from
Sea-Tac. They no longer offer to set up a delivery service
once the package reaches its final destination. You will
need to make other arrangements.
Sample cost: Package weighing under 50lbs. From
Sea-Tac to Dulles on Sunday, May 2, 1999 the cost for
freight was $66.94 and the cost of delivery was $43.00.
Instructions: At least one half-hour before the
flight is due to leave, drop package off at the DROP BAGGAGE
CLAIM (UNITED) OFFICE on the LOWER LEVEL of the MAIN TERMINAL.
It must be UNSEALED. You will have to sign a security
endorsement when you drop it off, so bring a PICTURE I.D..
Tell the person there that you would like your package
to be SET UP FOR DELIVERY. Everything must be pre- paid,
or paid at the time you drop off the package. If using
a company check or credit card, have some sort of I.D.
with you—business card, letterhead, something that
shows it's O.K. for you to use this form of payment. There
is no need to make reservations ahead of time.
