Directions to UW School of Medicine, the UW School of Dentistry and the Health Sciences complex, coming from the north via I-5 southbound

For patients

Take the #168B exit (Bellevue/Kirkland) from I-5 southbound - this is a left exit - onto State Route 520. Take the first exit off SR520; the sign will point to Montlake Boulevard N.E.. Turn left onto Montlake Blvd. and continue north. At the first traffic light after the drawbridge, turn left onto NE Pacific Street; move to the right-hand lane. Turn right at the second "patient parking" directional sign onto NE Pacific Place. Then immediately turn right again into the entrance (Gate #4 on the map) to the Triangle Parking Garage, an underground facility connected via a pedestrian tunnel to the medical center. You can obtain directions to the various clinics and the Health Sciences Building at the main desk on the third floor of the UW Medical Center.

Parking in the Triangle Garage

Parking in the Triangle Garage is administered by the UW Medical Center (UWMC) and a fee is charged. To ensure sufficient space for all medical complex patients and visitors, multiple rate fee schedules are in effect. In all rate schedules, the parking fee is determined by the length of your stay.

There is a validated rate for UWMC patients and visitors to UWMC patients, another discounted validation rate schedule for other medical complex patients (including Health Sciences and School of Dentistry patients) and visitors, and a third rate schedule for other garage users. Please note: Parking validation can only be processed when a traffic guide is on duty.

Disability parking

Upon entering at a campus gatehouse, any mobility impaired person should self-identify in order to be accommodated. You will be assigned parking in a "disabled" area as close to their destination as possible. Parking permits for disabled and wheelchair areas cost the same as for other UW parking areas (see current fee schedule; you may have to scroll down).

Disability parking may be available in the Triangle Garage or the South Campus Garage (S1) parking areas. Both locations have wheelchair and disabled parking stalls. To access the S1 garage, go to Gate 6 on Columbia Road which is accessed from 15th Avenue NE. At the gatehouse identify yourself as mobility impaired, purchase a parking permit and obtain any necessary directions. Display the permit on the dash so that it is readily visible. There is no discount for disability parking.

For visitors

Take the NE 45th Street exit (#169) from I-5 southbound. Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about 4/10 mile to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue approximately 6 blocks to NE Pacific Street. Turn left onto NE Pacific, staying in the left-hand lane. Continue east to the first left turn option; the road makes a "Y" at that traffic-lighted intersection. Turn left onto NE Pacific Place. Continue a short distance to Montlake Blvd. Cross Montlake Blvd. and enter at the front of Husky Stadium. (You will be on a brick surface in front of the stadium gates.) Turn right again and proceed to the gatehouse (Gate #8) to purchase a parking permit and obtain directions.

You will be entering a UW Commuter Services lot; there is a partial refund for parking under 4 hours. Ask the traffic guide for details.
