Directions to football games when coming from the south via I-5 northbound

To check various game schedules, click here to access the official athletic site of the UW.

A printable campus map (pdf file) is available.

Avoid traffic problems
The public parking lots on the east side of campus near the Husky Stadium generally fill 30-60 minutes prior to game time. Save yourself lots of hassle. Go directly to Main Campus to park and then enjoy a pleasant walk through the campus to the stadium.

Stack parking in E1
To reach public football parking from I-5 northbound, take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn right onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about 4/10 mile to 15th Avenue NE. Turn right and drive south on 15th Avenue approximately 6 blocks to NE Pacific Street. Turn left onto NE Pacific, staying in the left-hand lane. Continue east until the road splits. At that traffic-lighted intersection, turn left onto NE Pacific Place. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Montlake Boulevard and continue north approximately half a mile. When the road forks, bear right to stay on Montlake Blvd. Turn right at the first traffic light into the multi-lane north entrance to the large E1 parking lot.

Or, you may take the NE 45th Street exit (exit #169) from I-5 northbound and continue east on NE 45th Street approximately 1.4 miles to Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Go one block and turn right onto Clark Road. At the end of Clark Road you will find another entrance to the E1 lot.

At either entrance, Parking Services staff will sell you a parking permit and direct you to stack parking in E1. Stack parking means that cars are parked bumper to bumper in the lot; you cannot leave until the cars around you depart. If you do not want to be stack parked or you must leave early, additional public parking is available on Main Campus and in West Campus parking areas located west of 15th Avenue NE.

If public east campus lots are full
If you are approaching E1 north on Montlake Blvd., watch for a "E1 Public Parking FULL" banner hanging from a footbridge overpass. It will direct you to Main Campus parking. Continue north on Montlake Blvd. and bear left onto 25th Avenue NE. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Pend Oreille Rd. Head up the hill to Gate #3 (shown on the map) for a parking permit and directions to your parking area.

Non-stack parking
To access Main Campus public parking from I-5, continue east on NE 45th St. to 17th Avenue NE and turn right into the main entrance to campus. Stop at the gatehouse (Gate #2 on the map) for a parking permit and directions to your parking area.

To access West Campus parking areas from NE 45th Street, turn right onto Brooklyn Avenue NE. Watch for signs on that will direct you to west campus lots for public football parking.

Football parking fees include sales and city parking taxes. Click here for the fee schedule.

If you have a Tyee parking permit, check the back of the permit for a map showing the best entrance and exit to your specific parking area. Tyee parking permits are distributed by the Intercollegiate Athletic Department (ICA) approximately two weeks prior to the opening game. If you have any questions, call the ICA Development Fund Office at 206-543-2234.
