Avoid traffic problems
The public parking lots on the east side of campus near the Husky Stadium generally fill 30-60 minutes prior to game time. Save yourself lots of hassle. Go directly to Main Campus to park and then enjoy a pleasant walk through the campus to the stadium.
Stack parking in E1
To reach public football parking when coming from the east, use State Route 520. Take the Montlake Boulevard exit. Continue north on Montlake Blvd. crossing the drawbridge. Stay in the right-hand lane. To access the largest public parking area, the E1 lot, continue north approximately 9/10 mile, staying in the right-hand lanes on Montlake Blvd. Turn right at the first traffic light into the multi-lane north entrance to the large E1 parking lot.
Parking Services staff will sell you a parking permit and direct you to stack park. Stack parking means that cars are parked bumper to bumper in the lot; you cannot leave until the cars around you depart. If you do not want to be stack parked or you must leave early, additional public parking is available on main campus and in west campus parking areas located west of 15th Avenue NE.
If East Campus lots are full
When driving north on Montlake Blvd., watch for a "E1 Public Parking FULL" banner hanging from a footbridge overpass. It will direct you to Main Campus parking.
Non-stack parking
If you wish to access main campus public parking, head north on Montlake Blvd. When the road splits, bear left onto 25th Avenue NE and get into the left-hand lane. Turn left at the second traffic light after the split (NE 44th St.) onto Pend Oreille Rd. Go up the steep hill and stop at the gatehouse (Gate #3 on the map) for a parking permit and directions to your parking area.
For West Campus parking areas cross the drawbridge and move to the left-hand lanes. Turn left onto NE Pacific Street. Watch for signs directing you to West Campus lots for public football parking.
Football parking fees include sales and city parking taxes. Click here for the fee schedule.
If you have a Tyee parking permit, check the reverse side of the permit to find the best entrance and exit to your specific parking area. Tyee parking permits are distributed by the Intercollegiate Athletic Department (ICA) approximately two weeks prior to the opening game. If you have any questions, call the ICA Development Fund Office at 206-543-2234.
