Directions to UW or high school commencements when coming from the north via I-5 southbound

TIP: Give yourself plenty of time to get to the commencement. Expect heavy traffic congestion from 4-6 pm. To avoid traffic congestion, use the NE entrance of E1 from Mary Gates Memorial Drive.

Directions to E1 from the north via I-5 southbound

From I-5 southbound, take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east, passing the main entrance to UW campus on your right and the University Village Shopping Center on our left. At the traffic light just past the shopping center is the 5-Corners intersection. The street on the right is Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Take the first right onto Clark Road and proceed west to reach the NE entrance to the E1 parking lot.

From I-5 southbound, take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about 4/10 mile(s) to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue approximately 6 blocks to NE Pacific Street. Turn left onto NE Pacific Street, staying in the left-hand lane. Drive east to the first left turn option; the road makes a "Y" at that traffic-lighted intersection. Turn left onto NE Pacific Place. Continue a short distance to Montlake Blvd. and turn left. Drive north on Montlake Blvd. and when the road makes a "Y", bear right staying on Montlake Blvd. At Walla Walla Road turn right. Straight ahead you will see the multi-lane northern entrance to the E1 parking lot. When you enter the E1 lot, Commuter Services staff will collect the parking fee and direct you to your parking space.

Directions to E12 from the north via I-5 southbound

From I-5 southbound, take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about 4/10 mile to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue approximately 6 blocks to NE Pacific Street and turn left. Drive east to the first left turn option; the road makes a "Y" at the traffic-lighted intersection. Turn left onto NE Pacific Place. Move into the right-hand lane and cross Montlake Blvd. at the traffic light to enter in front of Husky Stadium. Turn right to reach the gatehouse (Gate #8 on the map).

Disability parking directions to E11 from the north via I-5 southbound

Disability parking is available in both E11 and E12 lots and additional parking is available in the Graves (building) area but it is limited. From I-5 southbound, take the NE 45th Street exit(#169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about 4/10 mile to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue approximately 6 blocks to NE Pacific Street. Turn left onto NE Pacific Street, staying in the left-hand lane. Drive east to the first left turn option; the road makes a "Y" at the traffic-lighted intersection. Turn left onto NE Pacific Place. Move into the right-hand lane and cross Montlake Blvd. at the traffic light to enter in front of Husky Stadium. Turn right to reach the gatehouse (Gate #8 on the map).
