:: CARTAH PROJECT APPLICATION

CARTAH Project Application Information

  • In order to use the services and facilities at CARTAH, applicants must submit a Project Application.
  • The following information is designed to help you through the application process.
  • Project Applications can be completed by using the on-line application form available below.
  • We will notify you via e-mail as soon as the review has been completed.

Project Proposal Guidelines

CARTAH facilities are made available on a project basis. Researchers and artists need to submit a Project Application describing their proposed work. The following brief guidelines are intended to assist in submitting successful applications.

  • What types of projects are appropriate?
  • Any project that makes use of technology and has an Arts or Humanities focus is appropriate to our facilities. CARTAH is not a drop-in lab, short-term projects, however, are also welcome.

  • Who may make a project proposal?
  • Anyone associated with the University of Washington may make a proposal. Preference is given to students and faculty in Arts and Humanities departments when the number of requests exceeds the number of projects we can support at the same time.

  • A note about video projects.
  • Because of the high demand for CARTAH's video editing equipment, researchers wishing to use this equipment should make early arrangements. The video editing equipment is reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.

  • Acknowledgements.
  • Please include the following notice in your project's acknowledgements:
    This project was completed in part with the support of the Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) at the University of Washington.
