CARTAH Project Application Information

• In order to use the services and facilities at CARTAH, applicants must submit a Project Application.
• The following information is designed to help you through the application process.
• Project Applications can be completed by using the on-line application form available below.
• We will notify you via e-mail as soon as the review has been completed.

Project Proposal Guidelines

CARTAH facilities are made available on a project basis. Researchers and artists need to submit a Project Application describing their proposed work. The following brief guidelines are intended to assist in submitting successful applications.

Any project that makes use of technology and has an Arts or Humanities focus is appropriate to our facilities. CARTAH is not a drop-in lab, short-term projects, however, are also welcome.

Anyone associated with the University of Washington may make a proposal. Preference is given to students and faculty in Arts and Humanities departments when the number of requests exceeds the number of projects we can support at the same time.

Because of the high demand for CARTAH's video editing equipment, researchers wishing to use this equipment should make early arrangements. The video editing equipment is reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.
