When Health Sciences Risk Management acquired a new database and implemented its staff's proposal for more flexible schedules, SkillSoft e-Learning became a convenient, targeted training resource.
With their training specialist, the team selected multiple content areas in e-Learning, with curriculum ranging from technology to customer service topics. After the team received on-site introductory training from their database vendor, e-Learning continued to be an ongoing resource that the team could utilize independently or as a group.
The team's administrative assistant had avoided leaving the office for traditional classes, but says SkillSoft e-Learning's flexibility allows progress a few hours at a time, as schedules permit, and "brings the training right to the office." Staff can tailor their use to fit their varied levels of expertise. When several team members took the Dealing With Difficult People course, they were able to share perspectives and gain more interactive benefit.
As Risk Management discovered, SkillSoft e-Learning can help UW teams move forward together along a structured-yet-versatile learning path.
