Welcome to the UW Caregiver Directory, a free service provided by Benefits & WorkLife to University of Washington faculty, staff, and students.

UNDERSTAND

The Caregiver Directory consists of two pools of UW-affiliated individuals: potential caregivers and potential employers.

  1. Caregivers are those seeking employment to earn money caring for children, elders or adult dependents, running errands or doing light housekeeping. They may make them selves available for full-time, part-time, short-term, or intermittent work.
  2. Employers are those wishing to hire responsible individuals to provide care for children, elders or adult dependents, running errands or doing light houskeeping.

The following Caregiver and Employer lists are available either as an Excel spreadsheet or .pdf format, and require UWNetID for access:

The lists contain first names only and listings are purged after six months. The employer generally contacts the caregiver to make all employment arrangements, however, caregivers may also contact employers.

To search for a potential caregiver, go to the Caregiver List. Once you find potential caregivers, follow these steps:

Keep Your Information Current

If you wish to update or delete your Employer listing, simply complete the Online Employer Registration form again. You are welcome to re-enroll at a later date.

Caregivers

Check for Potential Employers

To search for a potential employer, go to the Employer List. Contact potential employers who offer the best possible match, and be prepared to submit a list of references.

Post your Availability

Complete the Online Caregiver Registration form to generate your own posting in the Caregiver List, which will be available to potential employers within a few days.

Keep Your Information Current

If you wish to update or delete your Employer listing, simply complete the Online Caregiver Registration form again. You are welcome to re-enroll at a later date.
