Accommodation Requests

Requests can be responded to most effectively if received as far in advance of the event as possible, preferably at least 10 days.

- location,
- the type of disability accommodation that you are requesting.
If you are unable to speak directly with a DSO staff member, please provide us with your complete contact information so that we can get back to you as quickly as possible.

Accommodation at the UW Medical Facilities
University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC)
Patients may request disability accommodation by calling the main switchboard at 206-598-3300 (voice).
UW Medical Center Teleservices provides a variety of adaptive equipment for patients who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or who have speech impairments. TTYs (regular print, large print visual display, Braille), amplified headsets, flashing light and vibrating phone alert signalers, and TV decoders are available. To request adaptive equipment, call 206- 598-6970.
Public telephones are located on each floor of the medical center and in the main lobby. TTY pay phones are available in the medical center's lobby on the third floor and in the second floor east entrance.
The main number for UW Medical Center at Roosevelt is 206-598-5700. There are public telephones in the lobby (first floor), including one that is TTY accessible.
